The first EHS Journal Club, focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things in the fields of Environment, Health, and Safety, was held in January 2024 by Payesh System Mehr Engineering Company under the accreditation of the World Safety Organization in Tehran.
Fundamentally, a Journal Club is an interactive educational program that promotes critical reasoning, evidence-based understanding, and the enhancement of critical appraisal skills. In this program, a group of participants engages in discussions on recent scientific articles. The foundation of a Journal Club is problem-based learning, and it creates a structured interactive environment for participants. The Journal Club is a long-established practice in education, particularly in medical sciences, and plays a significant role in improving critical evaluation skills and knowledge in related scientific fields.
