This project was designed and implemented based on OSHA standards and CCPS guidelines to improve safety and reduce risks related to leaching operations.<\/p>\n<p>Project Objectives:<\/p>\n<p>Process hazard identification and assessment: Identifying hazardous points and assessing risks in the leaching process.<br \/>Developing safety solutions: Designing and implementing effective solutions to reduce risks and improve safety.<br \/>Employee training and empowerment: Training employees in process safety management and raising their awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Implementation Phases:<\/p>\n<p>Site visit and Kick-off meeting<br \/>PSM Gap Analysis<br \/>Developing the PSM Framework<br \/>Developing PSM documentation based on the 20 elements<br \/>Employee training and empowerment<br \/>Ongoing auditing, monitoring, and evaluation<\/p>\n<p>Results and Achievements:<\/p>\n<p>Reduction of incidents and hazards: Significant improvement in safety and reduction of incidents caused by leaching operations.<br \/>Increased safety awareness: Increased awareness and capability of employees in process safety.<br \/>Development of process safety culture: Institutionalizing a process safety culture within the organization.<\/p>\n<p>The project was led and directed by Dr. Majid Alizadeh in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The PSM deployment project at the Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex, aimed at improving safety and reducing risks in leaching operations, is recognized as a successful model in the industry.
